TabTrade Review - A Look at This New CFD Broker
TabTrade — The Short Version
Tab Trade went live in March 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That will be a good addition when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not relevant to typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
This is where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.
Safety
This is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit.
