TabTrade Overview - The Good and the Catch

Tab Trade — The Short Version

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background matters. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than a random name you cannot trace.

They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.

What You Trade On

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That will make the platform set when it lands.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

This is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at a much wider range.

Should you care? If you scalp, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.

Pair that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering is strong. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

Regulation

Now, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. But inform how you think about it.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal works is your call.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before you deposit.
